Opel has to comply with European standards (NEDC testing cycle) to advertise it's range. NEDC testing cycle is unreal, but what can you do.
Also, if Opel would publish real world or EPA numbers, which is 380km and other companies would publish NEDC cycle unreal numbers, suddenly a BMW i3 with half the battery would achieve the same published range as the AmperaE.
That would make AmperaE look bad. Average Joe can't distinct between EPA and NEDC cycles.
