The rebate is no longer capped at 30% of MSRP. All trim levels of Volt and Bolt now qualify for the full $14,000 rebate.

The Tesla clause: Battery electric vehicles from $75k to $150k now qualify for the full $14,000. Plug-in hybrids in that price range are still capped at $3k.

Changes are retroactive to January 1.

P.S. I heard today someone ranting about seeing five Teslas with Ontario Government markings. I call BS, but has anyone heard of such a thing?

Haven't seen or heard about Ontario branded Teslas but that would explain the elimination of the Tesla clause.

To qualify for the full rebate a car must be able to seat 5 and have a battery bigger than 17KWh. The Volt fully qualifies. Below is the updated list on the Ontario government website.

Actually I believe Quebec is running a budget surplus. Ontario is supposed to come close to a balanced budget in 2017.

Nice, I saw this thread and put a deposit down this morning on a Volt.
I was on the fence about the Volt but this pushed me over the edge. Going to do a 3yr lease on a Premier with ACC. Normally I finance but I figure I will want to move from a PHEV to an EV in 3yrs once there are more options on the market --- AWD CUV .
My commute is 240km round trip 2x week so something like a Bolt would be perfect. But I don't want to wait and the reports of uncomfortable seats, and no heatpump for heating turned me off.
