Pleasantly surprised to receive the "Your 2013 Volt has completed charging" message this morning. Last time I got this was 10/18.

Mine stopped on 10/18 as well and restarted last night. I did go into my account and fiddle with things though.

No luck here yet. Mine also stopped 10/18. Two calls to Onstar have not fixed issue. Not a big deal, but I will not renew with Onstar when trial expires.

In the same boat -- no text messages since 10/18. I got a call yesterday that they "should start again" within 24-48 hours. We'll see.

I never got any text alerts from onstar on mine (bought 8-30, onstart active 9-6). Finally got my first charge complete text a couple days ago. Funny enough when the car was parked outside at my step-dads not plugged in....then got 4 more at random times (two back to back) that evening. Seems they're accurate now though.

Mine stopped and started again as others. Not that I really care. Doesn't make any difference if i get them or not.

With localized reliability issues, I too don't care anymore. I just make it a habit to manually initiate a status update within RemoteLink to see the charge level before sleeping. If nothing has charged by that time, time to go see what's up. Or if really tired/lazy, f*** it and just drive on gas.

Notifications started here a few days ago. I was surprised as I gave up on them nearly two years ago after about a dozen calls back and forth trying to get the damn thing working. Tried it again a few months ago and if I got a text at all it would come 4 or 5 hours after the charge was complete. Was frustrating and totally useless.

They must have put some money into a server upgrade or something, I suspect to get ready for the people that buy Bolts and expect more from OnStar than the crap they have been offering us up till now.

I just hope it lasts but frankly, I'm skeptical.

And just as yours all started working again, mine have stopped. Last successful OnStar communication with my vehicle was 20 Nov. :(

In my case, nothing works. No remote diagnostics, no preconditioning.

I've reached out to OnStar to try to get things working again.

They came back--then my car went in the shop for a month to get a new battery. I haven't seem the notifications since I got my car back. Why does nothing work?

Maybe you're still suffering from the momentary blackout OnStar emailed us all over the weekend. I don't remember the exact date of the email or the blackout, but it was over the weekend which was when I lost OnStar connectivity. It was a planned maintenance blackout, though. I'd give OnStar a call if you're concerned.

For others just as lazy as me:
Subject: Important information regarding your OnStar services
Sat 1/21, 8:04 AM Pacific

Dear [Volt owner],

We’re happy to have you as part of the OnStar®1 family and we appreciate the confidence you have in us. In our continuing effort to provide exceptional customer service, we will be performing a systems upgrade during the early morning hours of Sunday January 22, 2017.

While we are working hard to make the transition as seamless as possible, there will be intermittent periods of time when your vehicle’s mobile app will be unavailable.

Please be assured that during this time OnStar services including emergency, security, navigation and Hands-Free Calling will continue to be provided. As always, OnStar advisors will be available to provide remote door unlock, remote horn and lights, or contact Roadside Assistance. Simply press your blue OnStar button or phone 1.888.4.ONSTAR (1.888.466.7827)

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Sincerely,

I wanted to add my info and decided not to open a new thread. My charge completion texts stopped 10/31/17 and haven't gotten one since. About a week ago the power went out while my 2017 was charging and I got the "Charge interrupted" text. But I still don't get the charge completion texts. Curious why I'd get the charge interruption texts but not the charge completion texts. Here's what I've done to try to fix it to no avail:

(1) Uninstalled/reinstalled MyChevrolet app at recommendation of Onstar support.
(2) Cleared app data for MyChev, uninstalled, and reinstalled.
(3) Turned off notifications and turned them back on in the app.
(4) Set up both an email and text number and turned both on.

Nothing works: still never receive a message when charging is completed. If you've stopped receiving charge completion texts, I'd be curious if you receive the charge interrupted text when you unplug the charger from the wall while charging.

Mike
