Onstar never activated in new car?

With my 2015 volt the dealer had it all done and it worked before I even left the parking lot.

On my ELR I just noticed it was never activated. I took delivery after the dealer was closed, just me and the sales guy hanging out because I had to drop a one way rental. The warranties and in service started with it being new when I bought it in march ( from the owners panel website).
I can still see my old volt and the caddy in the onstar app but the caddy is just the vin number no functions. What do I do hit the blue button and let them upsell me for 20 minutes or call the dealer and have them fix it?

Also how the hell do I tell them to remove the 2015 volt GM sent to the shredders?

Pushing the onstar button in the car would be a good place to start. Have them link the ELR to your existing account and inform the CSR that you no longer have the '15 Volt which should remove that from your onstar app. As for any upselling, My suggestion is to just be firm from the get go and tell them you are only interested in whatever package came with the car at purchase. When I set my '13 up I did have them try to upsell, but I was firm in that I was only interested in the 3 free months of full service, and the balance of 3 years of "free" service.

My 2013 got 3 years of full service for free. At that time I think that was special for volts. Today, I think you get 3 months free full service then 5 years free basic.
When I bought my '13 last year it was the first car I've had with onstar installed. When I called, they offered a "new customer deal" of 3 months free full service, and 2y9m of "free basic". I read also posts regarding the 5 year offer as well but when I called to set everything up the CSR wasn't aware of a 5 year basic offering.
You don't have to push the blue button. Go to the Onstar website (probably only desktop) and sign up there. The website will tell you all your plan details.

Even then you have to push the blue button at least once. The car must initiate the first communications with Onstar. It is against the law for Onstar to begin communications with the your car without your knowledge. It's a privacy thing. I found all this out when my Volt was stolen and was told if Onstar had been deactivated/disconnected they could not track the vehicle until someone pressed the blue button.

Is anyone aware of a Volt getting stolen?

In the above thread back in 2015 you hadn't had your Volt stolen but I supposed this happened since then!?

Guess I missed that story if you posted previously but what where the details...did you leave it running to go in a store or something similar?

EDIT
Please disregard since I found your post about this here: http://gm-volt.com/forum/showthread.php?212330-Volt-stolen-in-San-Jose-CA&p=2914338#post2914338

I can see my Old 2015 fine. ELR shows as just the vin and no options.
