I normally use my cellphone, but I like to have some minutes available for the built in OnStar phone.

Checking the prices right now, something is weird:
https://my.chevrolet.com/onstar/shop/hfc

On the Pre-Paid minutes the prices are as follows:

60 minutes for $4.99
100 minutes for $39.99
300 minutes for $9.99
1000 minutes for $299.99

(minutes expire after 12 months.)

Probably a typo, I'd be willing to bet it's $99.99 for 300 minutes. But quite a discrepancy between 60 and 100 minutes which makes buying 60 at a time much better than any of the other packages unless again, it's supposed to be $24.99 which might be more in line with their price structure.

I bought minutes a couple of times because they where pretty cheap, but I never used them and they just expired so I stopped. I don't think the minutes I purchased lasted 12 months though, but that was 2-3 years ago.

I'm still seeing this pricing:

60 minutes for $4.99
100 minutes for $39.99
300 minutes for $9.99
1000 minutes for $299.99

I just purchased the 60 minutes bundle: $5.68 with tax & fees. It showed up as "promo" pricing, so maybe it's a special deal? I just purchased the car a few days ago, if that's relevant.
Sounds like it is a special deal.
