Does anyone have the OnStar app installed on their Tablet? I have a LG tablet, 4G lte, bluetooth, etc etc... I have emailed the [email protected](?) email and their only response is "we don't support your device"
Why not just install it on your phone?

I'm thinking of rooting it and side-loading the app... just seems like a ridiculous pain PITA for an app that only sends and receives data
You don't need to root to side-load (unless you're trying to side-load a system app).

https://www.google.com/#q=enable+sideloading+android

The bigger problem getting the APK from a safe source.

If you have access to an android phone, you can download the app from the play store, then 'export' or 'backup' the apk using any number of programs, or if you are more technical via ADB.

I had it installed on my Touchpad a couple years back (But that's hardly an official device running android :) - it could have been emulating a phone device ID)
It wasn't very useful, though, as it was just a stretched version of the phone app.

Ha. I had a LG tablet forced on me by my carrier. No Android Auto, Remotelink or My Chev. Won't receive phone calls either. Remotelink works on my old unsupported iPad mini. Won't install My Chev tho.

There are legitimate websites you can visit that will allow you to download the APKs from the Play Store. You can then side-load the APK to your device (only need to enable installation from unknown sources).

Apps that uses Google Play services will not work with BlackBerry 10 O/S

I have a version of RemoteLink converted for my BlackBerry Z30. I have not tried that in some time as I switched to a Samsung. Let me find a link for you to download it. I also converted a few other apps for use on my BlackBerry like ChargePoint.

First need Google Play Services for Blackberry:

Then install these:

I have OnStar on my new IPad. The My Chevy application however was only available on the phone not the tablet.

I had to use one of my earlier APKs from backups of my Galaxy S3. I use it on my ASUS MeMO Pad FHD LTE 10. I use it for all the stuff I use RemoteLink on my phone for: status of charging, mpg, mileage, locating the Volt. I love the app. Works great!
