Love my Volt, but it makes more low-key noises than R2-D2 (LOL)
So come on folks, describe some of the noises your volt makes in onomatopoeia.

Click (any number of operations)
Clack (something underneath when charging starts)
Whirr also WHIRRRRRRR (AC compressor)
ClunkClickClickClick (locking doors and walking away)
ClickTHUNK (rear hatch unlocking)
WhiRRRrrrr swoosh (Charging door opening)
MMMMiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (REX starting when the hood is open)
>very faint... squeeeeeeeeee< Sometimes regen has a 60 cycle hum/squeal, very faint
uuUUUPPPPP (accelerator whine)
DDDDooooowwwnnnnn (regen whine)

"tic" The infotainment center touch noise

"....." The (lack of) sound of the Volt idling in EV mode.

"Psheeeeww" The vents switching when you turn on any HVAC setting.

"Clack-clack-clack" The Volt actuating the HV relay.

"VreeeEeeee.... VreeeEeeee" The elusive fuel tank pressurization pump.

And then 'thunk' when remote lock is is double pressed to deadlock the car.

I particularly enjoy the 'weiuuuuu' sounds that come from the a/c compressor during middle duty operations as it ramps up and down again.

You forgot the "I'm driving in reverse and there may be objects in front of me" sound: BEEP BEEP BEEP...BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP.... BEEEEEEEEP".

Every. Single. Day. When I drive out of my garage, I'm serenaded with that.

The logic "If car is in reverse, don't warn about objects in the front which are getting further away" is so complicated, that only Elon Musk could do it.

I could turn off Parking Assist, but there are a lot of kids in my neighborhood so I really don't want to be the "Man turns off parking assist, runs over skateboarding 4 year old" guy.

It's funny: I'm so used to the sound, in fact, that when I'm parked in a regular spot, and the volt doesn't BEEP BEEP BEEP when I put it in reverse, that I actually look around as I think the car might be broken.

Don't get my wrong; I love my 2014 Volt, but some of the UI/UX designs are just... wack.

You forgot:

DING DING DING DING DING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (extremely loud and annoying, whenever you turn the car on without first fastening your seat belt. It means: I KNOW YOU ARE GOING TO FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT, BUT I AM A FAR MORE ADVANCED AND SUPERIOR BEING THAN YOU, AND YOUR LEVEL OF ANNOYANCE WITH MY BEHAVIOR IS OF NO CONSEQUENCE TO ME)

BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!!!!!!!!!! (extremely loud and annoying, for both you and your neighbors, if you do ANYTHING unexpected with your key fob, such as leave it in the car when it's turned off (it means: GASP! NO! HOW COULD YOU LEAVE THIS DISGUSTING LITTLE FOB INSIDE ME???) or take it with you when the car is still on (YOU MORON! HOW DO YOU THINK I'M SUPPOSED TO TURN ON AGAIN IF SOMEONE DRIVES AWAY WITHOUT A KEY FOB INSIDE ME?? SHEEHSH, SOMETIMES I THINK WE CARS ARE SO MUCH SMARTER THAN HUMANS THAT WE SHOULD TAKE OVER THE PLANET.)

Did you ever wonder if those two points might be being combined for reasons?

(As far as I can tell, when both sets of sensors are triggering, you hear the ones that are closer rather than the ones you're approaching. Which seems more sensible when you're in a tight spot because when it switches from "rear" to "front" tells you that you're half-way between the two things, which is more useful than "that bumper you've been creeping up on is still there!")

-behhhuuurrrrrrrrrrrrrr (when first starting up) My guess it's a pump of some sort that activates as part of the startup sequence.
Brake vacuum pump.
You can hear it again if you pump the brake a few times

Yesterday I took about 90 minutes to wax mine and when I was buffing the rear lower quarter panel, mine started PURRing! I stopped and listened for a minute wondering why, when it had been unplugged and not driven for hours, it would make a purring sound like a very small fan that could only be heard if you put your head down next to the rear wheel. Since I was done at that point, I just mumbled "whatever" and walked away. The car makes so many faint sounds that I no longer try to understand it.

I just chalked this one up to "it purrs when you pet it". :)
