While I twiddle my thumbs waiting for my Bolt to arrive at Rydell, I've come to the realization that there is something I don't really like about the Bolt! That being the orange-colored Bolt....and the silver grille. Out of all the color combos, the Orange+silver grille just doesn't look right. Am I the only one bothered by the silver grille? Or maybe I've just been staring at photos of Bolts too long.

I have seen the Bolt live, and I have seen a Sunburst Orange Cruze live in a car lot in Fresno, and trust me on this, in any decent amount of lighting, that color does NOT look orange, it is Bright Shiny Metallic Gold. And with that color, the dark silver grille looks really good, to me.

I have decided because that color has that grille color that I will get the Red with Black grille when and if the time comes.

One should not be unhappy even before taking delivery of one's new car. Relief is as close as your nearest Krylon dealer--or if you want to get fancy, find a sign shop that specializes in vinyl wraps for vehicles and have them wrap the grille in one of a thousand choices.

Hmm....someone bought that Bolt front bumper assembly that was on Ebay. That could have been an (expensive) option to get an orange Bolt with a black grille. Lol

Question is how the hell did a pre-production Bolt bumper end up on Ebay?!

I foresee private party grill swaps in the future. I wish GM just let you pick a grill color instead of locking it to the paint selection.
