Can someone help. I would like to replace the DRL bulb, and the nearest dealer is in the next town. I would rather not go to the dealer.. In general I have been very pleased with the car. I have driven a VW TDi for the past 5 years. I have about a 80 mile commute a day, and I can plug in most days at work.. The Volt has been nice, but I'm bummed that the driving light is out only after 2300 miles.

Why wouldn't you get this fixed under warranty? Sure it's a bit inconvenient to drive to the next town to get it fixed, but maybe you can let them know ahead of time, make sure they have the part on hand, and they can do the swap quickly. Otherwise it will be over a year or more before you need to have the oil changed. You'll be hitting the tire rotation schedule soon enough (though I stopped rotating mine)

Also as mentioned above, LED lights are not supposed to go out so quickly - they typically last many years. There may be an underlying problem (e.g. poor connection) or you have a defective light. I'd take it to the dealer.
