Hello!

I just picked up my new 2017 LT last week and wow I love this car it is a great improvement compared to my 2014.

Anyway, today as I was leaving work, was the first time the ICE had to turn on because of the cold weather here in Michigan.

While the engine was on, I noticed a new sound, a slight hissing/popping? coming from under/behind the rear seats, I'm kinda at a loss of what this sound is. Not speaker related as I checked. (I had originally thought it was feedback.)

The hiss stops when the ICE turns off.

The only things I can think of are the fuel pump running and/or some sort of air leak in the system perhaps even the exhaust.

Has anyone else noticed/heard about this?

I don't think it is anything of concern yet... I just find it very odd.

So, ERDTT was on which means the engine was at high(er) idle speeds. Might want to check it while you're in the back seat: turn car on, make sure you're in Park - apply the electric park brake. Open the hood (engine will start) - then climb back to the rear seat and see if this sounds is there - isolate it if present. Could be a leak on the exhaust muffler.

I'm not sure what that might be, but an air leak in the fuel pump or a leak in the exhaust, I would think would throw a code.
