Ah, I picked up a set of eBay used OEM wheels and sensors for my 2018, and noticed they aren't detected when using my relearn tool.

I'm presuming that I got a set of sensors for a 2016... anyone know if the 2018's use the same ones as 2017?

2016 used 315 MHz sensors, and the 2017s and later use 433 MHz sensors. I don't believe they changed them for 2018.

As far as the parts guy at my dealer, he said that the '18s TPMS sensors are the same as the '17s... P/N 13598773.

Dead batteries in the TPMS sensors?

I can confirm that the 2018 uses the 433mhz sensors like the 2017. Today I installed mounted snow tires on my 2018 Volt. Tire Rack put 433mhz sensors in the rims and they work fine after the relearn procedure.
