Earlier today I made a tripp of around 100 miles. Started by running the battery low which gav me about 44 miles. The gasolene cut in with out problems and I arrived home safely. Plugged the car in but there was not reaction at all. No yellow light, no green light, no horn !
Any suggestions?

Ok, I'll ask the obvious question. Did you remember to turn off the car first? Charging will not start with the car on.

Thanks guys for all the supporting questions, it feels good not to be alone On the Volt trip.
This morning I was going out to check your suggestions and after a little while I hear the familiar beep-beep announcing the car is charging and The green light is On.
I have no idea what disturbed it yesterday or what fixed it this morning ? Possibly some electronic hickup.

Thanks guys!

This has happened to me on my '15 volt maybe 3 times in the past 6 months or so. When it has happened, parking and turning the car off doesn't give the usual "whoosh" shutdown, but rather an abrupt, everything is off. No power locks, no trunk, nada... Then after maybe 10-15 minutes the car springs back to life. It's almost as if it was doing a reboot.

One after symptom I have noticed is that when it comes back to life, the compass is no longer calibrated and I have to pull a fuse to reset it. Everything I have read here suggests either a wonky 12v battery or a bad connection to the 12v battery. In my case, I have a subwoofer and amp connected to my 12v battery and I've been meaning to unhook and clean the connections but have just been too lazy to be honest.

Like the 12v battery found on all other cars?

I have this exact problem today for the first time. Car is 2 years old. Plug it in, nothing...no click, no light, no horn beep. The charger lights up green. I just dont get any response from the car.
sounds very similar to my situation, mine is a 2011, did the OP ever get resolution to the issue or did it just disappear?
