People always post their problems here so how about the reverse. Who has the perfect Volt for the most miles? The rule is no problem whatsoever for the most miles! Not even a flat tire, a check engine light, a rattle, a surge , or a hiccup. I mean perfect.
Mine 2017 Volt has been perfect for 7000 miles! I know you guys can top that so let's hear who holds the record for most miles in a perfect Volt!

I bought my 2014 used with 23,000 miles. The owner said he had no problems since new except the hatch strut replacement. I have added 10,000 miles with no issues of any kind. Car does everything as advertised. I did research on the Gen 1's. Even bought a book about the development history. The car is indeed over designed to not have any failures as intended. Which is why it cost so much to build. The Gen 1's are a great deal used. Most are lease returns with low mileage. My car listed for $40,000. I bought it 2 years later for $18,500 with all options and 1 year of warranty still in effect.

The owner was selling because he bought Tesla Model X which he said was in the shop for the 3rd time due to mis-aligned doors and falcon door issues. He said " you probably think I'm crazy for buying a $90,000 car that isn't built very well".

Mine was awesome for the first year, then it all went to hell.....

It went from my favorite car to I'll never touch another GM product again. The dealers and the manufacturers ability to communicate effectively and timely and keep the customer happy are important and GM/Chevy can do none of those at all.

Y'all are braver than I am.

Even if my car were perfect, I wouldn't be jinxing it by blabbing it all over the internet.

Murphy will smite you (or your Volt)!

There have been a few recalls and customer satisfaction programs. I needed to replace the coolant heater control module in November 2014. Since then, I've gone 48717 km (30,271 miles) without a problem.

32,000 miles on my Gen 1 before I needed an oil hose replaced (warranty). The next issue was at 72,000 miles (also warranty).

In six years I've had one small issue and may have another one. Fewest problems in a car, which includes MB, Lexus, Acura. I've had more issues with the ELR though no issues at all after a software update and a front axle nut problem, both of which occurred in the first couple of hundred miles.

Hmm... MY2012: About 40,000 miles before the coolant sensor needed to be reset, and another 15,000 before the bearing housing (buzz saw noise) needed to be replaced. Both under warranty.

MY 2015: 40,000 miles and it has never been to the shop. We rotated the tires a couple times, though.

I won't list my issues-- too late to jinx me anyway. But I just wanted to lend support to this thread and bump it so others can keep sharing the good news on their Volts.

If we are including campaigns and software updates, than I doubt any of them have been trouble free...
