I've had my 2016 Volt for 2 weeks now, and this is the first GM Navigation system I've owned.

When I use the Nav, about 80% of the time the Nav operates with the "No GPS" advisory symbol lit.

This is in sunny weather, with no mountains/trees/overpasses within half a mile of my car.

The Navigation seems to still work OK in spite of the advisory light.

Has anyone else noticed this issue?

I have had the same issue. In my case it is 100% of the time. Have not used Volt Nav yet because the OnStar system included in my 3 year lease for directions is so easy! I still would like to resolve the GPS thing however.

Sounds like either a programming glitch, or possible a bad connection to the gps module.

I'd call a Volt advisor and ask if this is normal. If it isn't then take it in. Seems like a problem or, potentially, a confusing design.
