NIO EP9 Electric Hypercar AUTONOMOUS racetrack runs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAQ_7fQu8IQ

Now I think one of the things I love the most about this video is it shows process. They are "training" the car, they screw up, but once corrected it's never, EVER, going to make that same mistake again.

Then at 3:23 when the guy stops, gets out, and the car just goes off on it's own gave me little chills of delight.

The final run is pretty damn awesome!

Very cool. Who needs race car drivers anymore?

Circuit racing in a closed course is relatively easy. Using present features of modern cars, and plotting the basic course, I believe race cars can run without a driver. The fun begins when the cars start touching each other, losing traction, and skidding. Then we get the fabulous collisions and other wild rides we see with human drivers.

But if the AI learns well, there maybe a race where, not counting mechanical or electric failures, all the cars finish the race intact. That will be extremely boring!

When the cars start touching and things go awry.....may the best algorithm win :)
