Hi, I just got a new Volt, I don't even have any questions yet...except about 8 amp default charging : ). maybe I can get my kids to buy me a 240-volt charger for Christmas or something so I can ignore that issue. Anyway, greets to all and happy charging. b: )

I'll assume your new Volt is a 2017 or 18. Look up location based charging. When established the Volt will charge at 12 amps at your designated "home".
What colour is this new Volt?

Take the time to thoroughly read both the manuals that came with the vehicle. You probably need to be in the car when you do it. It can take you at least a couple of hours, probably longer. But you will appreciate the car much more if you do that.
