Hey everyone,

I just picked up a new 2017 premier this past weekend and couldn’t be happier. I waivered for a few weeks and couldn’t decide whether to pull the trigger or not, but after hours research and a lot of time reading this forum I went ahead and got it.

Now if I could just find an electrician that’s available to install the 240v line....

Congrats! I purchased mine a month ago and also couldn't be happier!

120V at the 12 amp location based charging isn't bad.

I went with installing the 240v outlet myself (to the NEC code) and created a pigtail for the Gen 2 charger. Works like a charm!

The color man, what color!?

Unless your profile pic is accurate. Than kudos on the Heather Gray.

Also, make sure you read through the entire thread jbakerjonathan pointed out. It's a long read, but it goes a long way in educating you on the merits of the adapter and how to play it safe when making one or hiring someone to install an outlet. Only takes like an hour to read through really.

Thanks for all the info! I’ve decided to run the wiring myself, just the 110v for now, but the conduit is big enough for the 240v if I think I need it, and the adapter really seems like a great way to go. I have an older home, so the outlet that’s there now isn’t grounded, hence the reason for installing a new one.

I got heather grey with the two tone interior, I really wanted the adaptive cruise control, so had to be a little less picky on colour, I was worried about the two tone interior, but it’s actually really grown on me.

You made the right choice. The all black interior is very drab, boring, and cheap looking, especially on a small car. Chevy should offer a light colored leather on Premium models.
