I installed the the ELM327 for my 2017 Volt days ago. When can I expect to see the battery report?
Where are the instructions for using MyGreenVolt?

I did buy the app. And it's been a few days and the Batt Cell tab is still blank.
"cells should be very close together in the min/max read out at the bottom" - Please define "very close""?
You didn't specify your phone system ... Google Android or Apple iOS but I'm guessing Apple now since it looks like you pay upfront for that. Android is a free app and $1 for cell details.
Apple iOS: ‎MyGreenVoltConnect
Google Android: MyGreenVolt - Apps on Google Play

This site had an email contact. See "Support" section: MyGreenVolt
Good points above by hellsop and jbakerjonathan

I would look for free returns (in case it doesn't work) ... $20-$30 range ... 5000+ reviews w/4+ starts ...

3 examples

I'm using a more expensive one that handles large amounts of data for my Tesla (and works my our Volts)
Thanks- This is the one I bought on a recommendation from the Volt forum on Facebook.

So, any of the three you listed above should work with then GmVolt app?
Return it and get a different one with free returns.
Whole lot of time and frustration and a long unproductive thread wasted on a cheap one.

By brand, I meant the name of the device that uses the ELM327 chip. As an example, I bought the Vgate iCar II Bluetooth 3.0 OBDII that works with MyGreenVolt app.
Well you'd have better luck than you have now and at least those have many good ratings (5000+)
Also one was recommended to work by @jbakerjonathan so why not get that one?!?!?!?
