So I see this morning our 2012 Volt is not charged. Ran fine yesterday, the wife drove it nearly 300 miles. It gives me the High Voltage Charging System is not available message. Looks like the battery coolant might be a little low.

Do you have OnStar? If so, give them a call and ask for error codes on your Volt. Let us know what they say. You could also take the car to an auto parts store. Usually they scan codes for free.

Calling OnStar is a good suggestion. Coolant is always the first thing that comes to mind with this message. Might not be but it's the place to start.

Sounds like it might be a different message. Generally I thought service high voltage system is the message most get with low coolant levels.

Even easier than OnStar, open the hood and take a look at the coolant level.
