Hy guys-

If all goes well, we will pick up a 2012 Black with the premium light tan interior and all the goodies tomorrow after work from Boardwalk Chevy in Redwood City, CA.

I'll post tomorrow with pics and comments on how it goes! (Right now, I'm reading the manual!)

Cheers

I would have trouble sleeping tonight! Congratulations, you're gonna luv it.
Sweet man! You are going to love it! Your combo is like mine except I don't have the backup package. The car looks amazing in black! ENJOY and Congrats!
It's a good feeling knowing your about to get a new Volt, but wait until your driving pass thoughs gas stations, it gets even better!!!

Congrets!!!!
On the verge of what should be a great experience! Congrats.
U know the saying: "once you go black you never go back!" well your hooked. Enjoy :)
Thanks for the warm welcome!

So much Hardware! So much Software! So many Electrons! Oh My!

Cheers!
The good thing about the Volt is that the excitement stays with you after the purchase. Most products you buy are really exciting for a few days and maybe weeks if your lucky. I have had mine for 5 months and I still have that smile on my face when starting up the car and then selecting my music based on my mood. Techno if I want to drive fast and opera or other classical musc when I want to relax and really enjoy the ride in the Volt.

Btw, I went to the Auto show in Chicago, GM had a nice Volt exhibit. The whole experience confirmed my purchase there was simply no car in the same price range or lower that excited me. I had to go to car that would cost 60K+ and then you have an MPG around 20.
Welcome to "the club"... You are going to LOVE your new Volt.
Things to think about upon delivery of a new Volt?

Sooooo...

The new car should be ready after work today and the dealer will pick it up from another dealer first thing this morning and call me when they have it.

What should I know about or check for when I do my own PDI? (I do have the battery mod question on my list)

I have the PDI sheet Chevy used last year, so I have an idea of what should happen there. From reading here on the forum, this is my list:

  1. Full tank of gas
  2. Fully charged
  3. Two keys
  4. MPG reset
  5. Confirm nav map database up to date (do I get a disk?)
  6. All accessories purchased are present
  7. Tire pressure
  8. Radio Antenna
  9. For California, front license plate holder
  10. 110 V charger
  11. Tire pump and sealer canister
  12. All manuals present (what's supposed to be there?)

Anything else? Any perks to inquire about, like free or heavily discounted 15k service, discounts on accessories & parts, tire rotations, Etc?

Thanks!

Congratulations Voltmeister! Welcome to the Volt family!
Thanks very much...and I think you, Trevor, should actually have my screen name!

(The fact that the Volt Advisor team monitors and participates openly in this forum was a definite plus in my decision to buy a Volt!)

+1
Way more than any car I've owned so far :)
I love mine I just gave it a Valentine's day present! 4.5 more kW worth of solar panels, some new charge controllers, and its own dedicated inverter...I'll post a thread on that when it's all wired and fired.
Your going to love it! Think about getting a Level 2 charger installed at home, the convenience of a quick charge is worth the cost. Mine has over 1300 miles on 1.8 gallons of the dealer gas and the wife's Diamond White is nearing 4500 miles on 1.8 gallons of dealer gas. My neighbors and buddies are all jealous of no fuel purchases. Better yet we have Solar and don't pay for the electric either! :D:D:D

I feel so fortunate that my employer added 5 new Blink Level 2 to the parking ramp at work as my round trip is 55 miles of freeway but I telecommute mostly anyway.
Congratulations! You won't be sorry. Enjoy!
