I recently had the rear rotors on my 2011 replaced. They assured me I would get the special FNC heat treated rust-free rotors like those that came with the car. As you might guess, the OEM rotors they installed started showing rust almost immediately. Meanwhile the 8.5 year old front rotors are still rust free.

There are two GM OEM rotors available, one will rust the other will not (and are more expensive). Dealers and others seem to assume you want the ones that rust or they just don't know how to get the FNC rotors, lol.

So here are the part numbers to make sure you get the rotors you want:

Rust free rear rotor part number: ACDelco Advantage 18A2956AC
Will Rust rear rotors part number ACDelco Advantage 18A2956

Info on the special rotors
