After lurking on this forum for a long time I finally pulled the trigger on a (slightly used) Premier 2017 Volt. I'm coming from 2001 BMW 3 Series and looking forward to new experience with Chevy. So far so good, the only complaint\retraining concern is location of the parking break button. That's exactly where the window controls are in BMW. Anybody know if the computer will intelligently not enable brake if I click button at speed? Meaning, out of habit I've pulled button several times at 0 mph but wondering what would occur if I did so at 55mph. Certainly don't want to do that by accident...

The parking break will engage at speed, for emergency reasons. It won't be in an uncontrollable manner and it won't lock up the brakes, you'll just quickly realize you did it and release after. It may be a nice way to convince your sub conscious to stop reaching there. ;)

Congrats on your purchase! The Gen 2 Volt is really an amazing car.
