I got this email this week and inside it says: The myChevrolet mobile app now provides a more customized experience for EV owners. For starters, new features allow you to monitor EV range and charging status and even find charging stations along your route.

EV Range and charging status is new?

In the Nav menu of the app, I do see the power cord that shows charger stations - don't remember if this was there or not.

Just wondering if I'm missing something? I don't see a lot new with this app..

My version is 3.7.1 for Android

Google Play says it was last updated on 7/21/17 but that the version varies with device. We may not have all received the new version. I'm also on 3.7.1.

I have myChevrolet ver 3.7.1 on Android 7. No update in Play Store shown.

I have OnStar BASIC. I only have Keyfob access in the app (Locks, Precondition, Horns & lights). I can't access Vehicle Status ... that particular section says "Upgrade Now". I don't want to spend $20 or so per month to occasionally check charge status. I use myvolt.com website, which still gives access to those features

you really don't get the charging info on the free basic plan? That is pretty stupid. I am still on my trial but I checked playstore for an upgrade but there isn't anything available.

After my 6-month onstar trial, I reverted to the free basic plan and my vehicle charging status still works in the app. iOS 10.3.3

My Chevrolet App on iPhone would simply require my thumb press in order to do remote preconditioning and other remote operations. It used to require a pin number.

I don't know what to tell you. My experience is like drmx's but I have an android phone: after 6-month trial ended I'm on 5-yr basic and still have vehicle charge status and all FOB functions. I can even manual override my time-of-departure charging schedule and force an immediate charge from my phone. I prefer this since I don't have to wear-out the J1772 connector with the plug-unplug-plug-back-in to trigger an immediate charge at public charging stations.
