I have a Gen 1 Volt that needs a new Charge Port (GM 23281030) which is not available in Australia (I'm in Melbourne). I have ordered one from Tasca Parts in USA but they then informed me that it's out of stock and not expected to be back in stock. Can anyone please help me locate one? TIA.

BTW, just for the record the existing charge prort has developed Active to Earth leakage that trips out the charger or the house RCD. I have also tripped out a couple of public Type 2 chargers. It's definitely the charge port earth leakage.

Some of the charge ports developed hairline cracks in the backside that allowed moisture to wick in and corrode a small circuit board molded (moulded for you, ha) into the unit. It will take persistance to get one. Ebay? Auto salvage?

Remember, there are three different charge ports for G1 Volt/ELR. One for early years, one for later, and one for ELR. You must get the correct PN for your year. AND, they have ALL been updated to a better design. Don't bother putting a used one on.

The ELR charge port will fit on the Gen1 Volt. Some Cadillac dealers or parts suppliers may have them in stock.
