Hi gang! I picked up a brand new factory-order (had to wait 9 weeks near Toronto) Pepperdust metallic w/brandy interior Premier w/ACC at the beginning of August, and I just turned 11,000 kms on the odometer. Being a former VW TDI owner, I didn't know where I would find a car with similar performance and fuel economy - and the Volt has more than hit the mark! I absolutely love this car, and calculated a combined electricity+gas cost of CAD$270 at 10,000 kms... WOW!!! Thanks everyone for the great posts and contributions to this forum - it's really helped me learn some of the nuances and tricks of the car.

Congratulations! I am also a recent purchaser of a 2018 Volt. I have found that ACC can be useful in slow and go traffic. I like to keep the set speed down to about 25 mph and use the gas pedal when the other cars go faster to keep sudden acceleration due to cars in front moving out of the lane under control.

Nice!

Don?t forget to change the engine assisted heating to ?Deferred? in the Config menu. This will have the engine run at 15F instead of 35F, which saves more gas if you don?t typically drive beyond your EV range.

You can also disable the engine heating while plugged in with another setting, and the engine won?t run when you?re plugged in and remote start even if it is -40 out... but once you unplug it?ll fire up if under 15F or 35F depending on the other setting described above.
