Heads-up there is a recently opened @ 14Jun2018, GM recall #N172130460 where Gen1 owners can expect to roll their Volts into a GM service dept to get the VICM aka K114B HPCM2 reprogrammed.

Just checked tis2web.service.gm.com and no recent calibrations have been uploaded thus far for the HPCM2 under my VIN but I will more than likely push this latest calibration onto my Gen1 via VCX Nano when it becomes avail and save a trip into the service dept!:D

Just went onto the NHTSA website and entered my VIN, my car shows up as needing the recall. I hope this ends up being the solution to my PPR messages as well as my battery capacity reduction from 10.4 kwh usable to 9.4 kwh usable. Can't wait for this software to be released.

Looks like I'll be needing this update too...

GM TIS is suddenly throwing an error on the HPCM2 page so I think they disabled it for now until they have a replacement for the faulty software. I imagine it will be sometime this week.

Yes, but they have to perform the recall in order to close it on their books.

It appears I'm on the list too.

I could see how this might affect range if the 2013 Volt does not balance the cells at the end of its charge cycle. I have 2 2013s and one of them consistently gets 8-10 miles more range than the other one. The only difference is the wheels which I suspect reduces range 2-3 miles but does not explain the rest. They have the same brand/model tires.

Too bad this thread doesn't have a shorter more eye popping title. Some probably pass right over it. This is a 2013 Recall only from what I read in the announcement.

It looks like we've gone from INCOMPLETE. REMEDY NOT AVAILABLE to just INCOMPLETE - at least on my VIN...

I'll be calling the dealer to verify and schedule my appointment and will update the thread with any pertinent information....

remember-- this software update may reset the displayed range to default and you will need a few days of driving to show the correct ( best guess )

FWIW: Just got around to successfully pushing this latest HPCM2 calibration 24292110 over the existing 24281683 calibration via VCX Nano as shown above for my 2013 Gen1!:D

Yes, this does drop the guess-o-meter substantially following the flash at least on my Volt.

Be sure to keep us in the loop as to how your car responds to this. Did you run the battery relearn procedure?

Neither of my 2013s show on the recall list which I find interesting. Wonder if I should apply the fix anyway using VCXnano? Suggestions?
