Well, OnStar as a whole has been one big disaster from the day we first got it working until now, and we're still not through our free trial. 5 calls the day we upgraded the hardware to get it working properly, many failures that took days or weeks to get sorted out by "senior technical support", app problems that removed features we were supposed to have (seems all Canadians had this issue after the last app update), etc etc etc.

I'm really not impressed.

Anyhow, one of the things that is still irking me is the fact that none of the stats on myvolt.com seem to work. Never have, ever - I just get this on each and every stat page:

Is anyone else having this issue?

Since there's no other way to get the more geeky stats like kwhr/100KM etc I had always looked forward to this working, but I've chocked it up to yet another OnStar "feature" that just stinks.

It has always been a crap shoot. Mostly crap. I gave up on it long ago too.

The private Voltstats is a better choice...:)

I've never had success with the last 7 days of history. I have you tried going back 30 days or even just using monthly overview? Those gave me history but nothing for the last 30 days.

I only see a last 7 days or last 12 month option under the "Mileage" option.

Under Efficiency it's last 30 days, or lifetime, neither of which show anything at all.

FWIW I just tweeted Onstar and GM Customer Service and asked them what's up.

The two things that have never worked for me are Lifetime Electric Economy and Lifetime Combined Economy. I called them up one time and went through a circle jerk, being transferred all over the place, so I finally gave up.

Mine seems to be working, except for the Lifetime Economy Electric:

Could you post a screenshot please? And does it work for both your 2013 and your 2017? I'm wondering if this is something where the current gen Volts are feeding data successfully, but older ones are not.

OnStar replied via Twitter and I gave them a brief synopsis of the issue, as well as a link to this thread.

Any others having the same issues please chime in so that they can see it's not isolated.

The fact some people here report the issue has been going on for 4 years is suggestive of the fact that this one has flown under the techs radar, especially after others mention trying to report it but getting nowhere despite their efforts.

Lets see if a big thread here with plenty of reports of it being broken gets it fixed.

I stopped looking because it was so bad for years. But currently mine is NOT working for live charging detail. Typically it would show the live stats, but not history. Now not even the live stats. Mileage shows data up to July 25th and nothing since. Charging history, same story. 24-25th.
There was a ticket open with them back and forth about this data not working for well over a year before I gave up and it seems they did too as they stopped following up with me.

2014 + upgraded module (which was replaced 2-3x without any real fix of anything)

None of GM's/Chevy's sites work for any of their hybrid/EV vehicles. So don't feel too bad.
There's earlier responses in this thread indicating it is working for others with Volts.

And myvolt.com should, uh...work with the Volt. ;)

This is a website problem, not a vehicle problem from what I can gather.

I'm in the same boat here... in the 2 months I'v own the 2017 that part has not worked... I thought I'd wait a little to see if the data would fill in time.. but no go... I've open a ticket with the same techs that fixed my app issues last month.. their reply yesterday was:

We regret to hear of the concerns that you have been experiencing with your Volt information, Reg. At this time, I’ve created a case (#76125518) on your behalf with our internal Technical Team, so that they may further investigate this concern. Please look forward to hearing from one of our OnStar Technical Advisors once they’ve been able to review my case notes and conduct some initial research. However, if you have questions or concerns in the meantime, please let me know. I’d be happy to help to the best of my abilities.

Best,
Philip J.

I too just got a response from OnStar indicating they have opened a ticket for me as well.

I would still like people to continue to respond here with their own experiences with the myvolt.com stats - instead of a few individual voices in the wind a persistent scream from the forum here might yield more action. ;)

myvolt.com and mychevrolet.com are always broken/missing/crapped out

I had some success with mychevrolet.com in the past months, seems the past few weeks it's broken as well always with "can't communicate with car" despite the app being able to communicate just fine.

the app on the phone works 75% of the time updating the charge status/range/etc.

The fact it's been this broken for years for most people tells you exactly how much of a priority connectivity is for GM. I gave up on expecting anything in terms of customer care from GM as a company. After a rough first 8000 miles in my 2017... it's finally acting right. Will be glad when it's paid off and I can pick up a Model 3 in about 24 months. It's pretty sad really, they have some great core tech in the Volt/Bolt, but since dinosaurs are running the company I've learned to keep expectations at zero.
