I changed the setting to play a sound but never get one. Is this a bug ?

It works for me on my Android Samsung phones.
I note that the volume can make it inaudible if set too low, try checking your individual volumes.
Also, the sound can be replaced using the simple hack that the developer has provided. Perhaps replacing the sound might overwrite a corrupt sound file.
