I have the Basic Onstar plan and the myChevrolet app HAS been working fine. My basic plan does not expire until 2020 and the app shows my account is still active.
Today I could not get the app to show my vehicle status. It did however allow me to "precondition" the car. I called an OnStar agent and after much back and forth and try this and try that....it still would not work. She said that another OnStar agent would contact me within 24 hours to try and resolve the problem.
Anyone else having sporadic issues with your myChevrolet app ? At first the gal tried to tell me that Basic OnStar does not provide vehicle status for checking tire pressures and state of charge.....baloney...it has been working fine for me for months. I also have been getting consistant notifications whenever my car is fully charged.
Frustrating to be sure!

I think Onstar is up to something this weekend.
I noticed today that on 2 of my 3 cars, the 'Locate Vehicle' button has changed to 'Set Location'. The one car that still has 'Locate Vehicle' will NOT connect to the car at all. Just yesterday, 'Locate Vehicle' worked on all 3 cars. Plus, the 2 cars that have changed are both on the 'Full Guidance Trial Plan'. The only one that still has the 'Locate Vehicle' button is the only one on the cheaper 'Protection Plan'.
I tried reinstalling the app, but that didn't help. It must be Onstar.

I re-logged in and now it is working again.

Unfortunately, the "parked location" is completely useless. It just shows MY current location (not the Volt!). Tried "clear location" then "set location." Same issue -- worthless.

Why does nothing work?

ripoff star is up to games again. I noticed that the other day I got the warning in my car I did not have a current plan and this weekend my status feature was gone. log out / log in did not fix.

If GM wants to drive people to other brands they sure found a way. Force an disgustingly over priced service on people just get to some basic information from your OWN car.

Well they certainly now have an advocate who is more than willing to tell people to avoid Chevrolet and GM. This is micky mouse ****. GM/OnStar honestly believe they should be charging for tire pressure? blow me.

My first Chevrolet, one and done.

I am not quite that pessimistic. Disappointed yes, but given the technology I'll give them the benefit of the doubt as I believe they will improve the apps as well as the technology if for no other reason than to keep up with the likes of Tesla. It's still pretty early in the game and I am sure GM has the brainpower to fix these issues. Who knows, perhaps third parties will develop superior apps and means of communicating with "your" car.

I haven't received Charge Complete notifications for the last few days either. After 4.5 years of driving Volts, I can say this is par for the course with OnStar. The service will be fine for 6-12 months at a time and then they'll have an outage that lasts anywhere from a few days to a few weeks. Then it works again.

As others have said on this forum previously, when it is a free trial this is just annoying but if you're actually a paying customer it is totally unacceptable.

I was away without a place to charge from Thurs to Mon, but I got charge notifications Weds night and last night. I'm also still able to use my app which polls myvolt.com to get charge data, too, so it has to be something with the service the myChevrolet app uses to check subscription status.

The MyCadillac app had a similar issue starting 10/19. All the applets were down within the app. Now, they are all back again as of yesterday (10/24).

I still have the 3-year OnStar trial with my ELR. Expires in February.

I tried the log out/in and out didn't work. Called OnStar and they suggested uninstall and reinstall the app, and that magically worked. Both the OnStar and mychevy app work for me again. When I re installed I had to accept new terms, etc. Maybe that is what did the trick....

My app is currently not working. I did try removing the app and then re-installing, but still no joy. I cannot check my vehicle status.
The only thing I can do from the app is "pre-condition"...so at least it finds the car.
Guess I'll just have to live with myVolt.com......so far that still works as far as checking status.
