It seems a part of the vehicle that is part of the Voltec system should be covered by the Voltec warranty... year and mileage?

There you go. Likely out of the 8 year portion of the 8/100k Voltec warranty.Hi: My car is a 2016 Volt Premier with 21,000 miles on it. It is garage kept and never been in the rain. I keep it in perfect shape.
A 2016, even if a very early 2016 was probably sold in 2015. Even if it was January 2015(VERY unlikely) the warranty should continue through January 2023. I doubt it is out of Voltec warranty. Log in to the owners center at chevrolet.com and it will give exact dates and miles of warranty remainingThere you go. Likely out of the 8 year portion of the 8/100k Voltec warranty.

I have been told by my dealer that this is not under warranty. The part in question is nowhere to be found. GM has none on hand and the 3 dealers who have them will not sell them to my dealer. I also own a Tesla Model Y. I will not buy another GM electric. They don't seem to support their vehicles that are 6 years old with replacement parts. It’s looking like two months before my part will become available. I googled the part but no one has one in stock. So the Chevrolet Volt sits at the dealer until the part comes in.Hi: My car is a 2016 Volt Premier with 21,000 miles on it. It is garage kept and never been in the rain. I keep it in perfect shape.
Find another dealer. And get GM involved.I have been told by my dealer that this is not under warranty.
The OEM part is available through GMPartsDirect.com

The part number you posted doesn't exist, so it's likely a typo.

I checked with GM. This part is not covered by the warranty. It only runs the heater.
Ack, yes. I had 5 years in my head even though I was typing 8 years correctly.A 2016, even if a very early 2016 was probably sold in 2015. Two thoughts:
1. Definitely should be covered under Voltec warranty.
2. If they can't repair it in a reasonable amount of time, check your State's lemon law and see if GM will buy it back.
Hi from Big Moe:
This part is definitely not covered by the Voltec warranty. It is a part to run the interior heater. I erroneously posted that it was a part to cool and heat the batteries., My Error! The problem is that it may take months to get the part.
and enter your reply after it instead of before it. Thanks!Big Moe can you please type your reply outside the reply you are quoting instead of inside it?

You are correct Barry. Sorry for the misnomer! You’re all falling for his incorrect post title. It’s not the battery heater. It’s the cabin heater. That’s why it’s not covered under Voltec.
