Is retrofitting a Volt for 6.6 charging completely out of the question? Probably won't make sense financially but curious on the technical considerations.
This would presume that the charger electronics can handle twice the power/current/heat without being negatively effected. That seems to me to be unlikely.It can be done by probably a software upgrade.
As others have stated- the battery can handle it- look at the brake regen screen coming down from 65mph.I would be curious if the "hardware" can support the 6.6 charge rate.
