Does anyone know if the MD EV credit is coming back in July? I've read that it is but its gov speak which I don't understand.

Thinking that might push me over the edge as July is usually a good month for deals.

I don't know about md, but the great IL rebate is gone, suspended, and no signs on any life as they can't pass a balanced budget st all. It should be simple. You estimate X amount in state taxes, don't spend more than X, adjust accordingly if X gets smaller or larger. For some reason they think you can spend 20-30% and nothing bad will happen.

Yes it has been reinstated and does take effect on July,1, 2017. It also does not apply to vehicles over $60,000.00.

Thanks I saw that it has some nuances associated with battery size too.

And purchases made prior to 1 July are NOT eligible. So it is sorts stupid for anyone in MD to lease/purchase a Bolt prior to that date now.

Keep waiting, in 2018 I predict more than 20% below MSRP. Remember people in 2013-15 were finding premium volts at around $18-20K new after tax credit.

Almost always a good idea to wait when buying a car! Especially an EV, because they are still evolving.
