Driving to Charleston yesterday with my family inn the car, in the fast lane on the highway with a semi behind us and cars all around. Car starts making warning bell sounds, loses power and is telling u to shift into park.....very scary. Thank god we were able to pull over but NOT in a good place. Was able to restart car and tried to get to a nearby Chevy dealer to drop it off. This issue happened three times total. Not sure I will ever trust this car again. I've had it for less then 6 months. this is a serious problem that endangered us all.

This is probably an easy fix. There is a thread on here somewhere detailing this with pictures. The is a connection that is misplaced and installed incorrectly that causes this short. Someone will probably find the link for you shortly. Sounds exactly like what you experienced.
