Do many people lock there portable charger handle when charging at a public location? (I realize there is an alarm.) If you do lock it, what lock do you use? I am having a difficult time finding a lock small enough to fit on the handle.

There are a few places where I charge my car that I would prefer not have my charger walk off.

Thanks

I need to be saving enough money with free charging to justify risking the loss of my EVSE. I once spent a night at a hotel that offered outdoor outlets for EV drivers with the driver's EVSE. I felt choosing between soaking up $1 of electric and worrying about my $300 EVSE or burning a $1.50 of gasoline was an easy decision.

Living in fear is counter productive :)
There are a few quick & easy ways to secure the charge cord.

You can push a loop of charge cord around one of your wheel spokes, then use any pad lock to lock that loop of cord to the main part of the cord. It can't be taken without cutting the cord. That is probably the easiest way I have seen.

If you aren't doing this all the time, one easy technique is to park the front tire onto the charging cord. Over time and in the elements doing this often might fray the wires, but a dozen times or so shouldn't hurt. You could also router a channel through a 2 by 10 piece of wood with some cuts to make it a ramp and park on that.

My preferred method.
