We just got our 2017 Volt and I want to install a windshield mounted Dash Cam. The owners manual is a little vague on the precise locations of the Solar sensor (on top of the instrument panel, near the windshield), and the Humidity Sensor (near the base of the inside rearview mirror). I obviously don't want to block or cover the sensors. I think the Humidity Sensor is in the black plastic shroud behind the mirror, but I haven't seen anything sensor like near the base of the windshield. Thanks for all assistance with this.

Pg 151 in the manual, under "Automatic Headlamp System."

The solar sensor is in the same black unit as the charger status light. I had to slam on my brakes the other day because some idiot pulled right out in front of me, and my I-PASS and parking garage transponder slid forward. The next morning, I realized my dashboard was almost completely illegible in the sunlight and then realized that it still thought it was night time because my I-PASS was covering the sensor...

If you're putting the camera on the windshield, just install it where you want it. 99% of people install them up high to 1 side of the black box. You'll be fine.
Ditto. Mine is on the passenger (RH) side of the rear view mirror/black box.
