Has anyone else heard of this all electric car that runs on a battery made from a US company?
here is a link to their site

Do you think GM could get this battery tested in the Volt?
If its as good as I've heard I hope.
That would be the Altairnano battery. I pretty sure GM checked them out already. Probably a little too pricey for them.
Lightning Car company should have an announcement about their car pretty soon, btw.

Yeah, we've seen it. It's gorgeous and expensive and like most of these types of cars, purely virtual. When I see a dealership with units on the lot, then I'll believe it.

Interesting Feature

The Lightening features a "Programmable external engine sound generator." I wonder if it can be made to sound like a Harley or a Porsche or a train?

$237,000???

Great, now the George Clooney's of the world can feel morally superior while driving between flights on their gas guzzling private Lear Jets and their 600,000 square foot energy sucking mansions.

What about the rest of us?

$2,000,000?
I've never heard of any electric car costing anywhere near that much. Even the Venturi Fetish is somewhere below half a mil.

The Lightning GT seems to have dropped £30,000 though.
