Hello all, New 2017 Volt owner and just had the Bosch Level 2 Power Max charger installed. I've looked all over and can not find any information, is there any setting I need to change to take advantage of the 220/30 Amp charge?

Sorry if this is apparent to all but sometimes we all need help! :)

If you are looking to charge at 30A the Volt is not capable. At 240V it will charge up to 15A. That is the limit and it does it automatically.

As part is SAE J1772 spec, the vehicle and the EVSE negotiate the maximum charge rate capability. In the case of Gen2 Volt, the car's internal charge rate is lower than 30-amp unit can deliver, therefore the car limits the rate. (3600 to 3800 watts). There is nothing that a consumer can do to increase the max rate.

...other than replace the car with one that has a bigger charger onboard, like a Bolt, tesla, or Leaf. But I love my volt, so I'm not trading it in.
