Even though its dated October, I just received this letter today from GM. Apparently there's a glitch in the software regarding dates. Unfortnately this cannot be fixed via OnStar, so I'll have to take it to the dealer sometime in the next 12 months. (I'll probably just have it done whenever I'm at the dealer for some other reason, since I use the "charge immediately" mode all the time).

Isn't this the condition that is related to some 2013's stalling while on the road?

Been discussed here- Only effects certain My2013 Volts. The workaround is to not use the delayed charging setting until the software update has been performed-

Contact your most Volt knowledgable Service Advisor by phone. Have your vehicle identification number handy. The service Advisor will run the computer check of your Volts history. They can then confirm if your Volt is in need of this Software Upgrade and can bring you in for the "Quick" flash-

kdawg- Haven't you been a member of this forum since the old days? 88 posts? Must be just a similar handle-

Yes, this is the same "fix" for the loss of propulsion condition discussed in the other thread (will find a link)

Officially it is Customer Satisfaction Campaign 12241 - "Delayed Rate and Departure Time Charge Mode Software Anomaly"

It's important to point out that this only affects some 2013 models
Volt Advisors have been attempting to contact affected owners and requesting they use only IMMEDIATE CHARGE settings until such tme as the work can be performed.

You can either call your Volt Advisor or your dealership (with the last 8 digits of your VIN) and they can determine if there is any "Required Filed Actions" necessitating this reflash be performed. (and if so immediately switch to IMMEDIATE CHARGING settings)
Also keep in mind that since it is the HPCM2 being reprogrammed that there may be some "reseting" of statistical baselines that may result in an immediate lost of indicated range on the instrument cluster. However these will all normalize back to your original range levels over the course of 6-10 charge-discharge cycles.
