I've had a 2017 Volt Base model for about 4 months now and loving it, except the squeak on the left side of the steering wheel. Has anyone else noticed anything like that? If I'm driving down the road, it will make noise and if I put my finger on it, it stops. It's to the left of the steering column and to the right of the automatic light control switch.

I had a VERY annoying creak on my Gen 1 that appeared quite noticeably to be coming from the dash panel/A pillar area on the drivers side. I could push on that area and make it stop but was very very annoying. However, turned out it wasn't the A pillar area at all, the DIC bezel was actually causing the noise. It's possible the noise is being transferred. from another nearby area. Make sure you check everything. I actually found mine by accident when I was wiping my finger across the silver trim piece while driving to clear off a fingerprint.

I found when I press on that area, it creeks even around the DIC. I think I'll have my dealer look at it when I go in for my first service, they better not charge me for an undocumented feature like a creek in a new car!
