So I have those bulbs but they stay lit when the car is off. How do I go about getting a resistor for them? And where would I hook that up in the assembly?

Do they stay on forever? The reverse lights turn on when you get out of the car and turn off after a configurable amount of time (I think it's in Vehicle Settings > Exit Lighting or something like that).

I have LED backup lamps in my 2009 Chevy Equinox, and they shut down correctly. The Equinox also has a BCM so your problem is unique. You may have a wiring or a BCM problem.

Hi Mr. X, The first I bought were a SIRIUS brand that had the afterglow. Fortunately they were an Amazon purchase and easy return.

Then I got these:

They work great and are really bright. It looks like I have headlights on both ends whenever I use the unlock feature and they come on with all other lights.
