Just received 3rd Private Offer from GM?? Volt & Bolt are $3000! And all other models

We just received our 3rd Private Offer from GM in about a month?.... 2 by mail and one by Email?? Te cover ALL MODELS,,,and currently Volt & Bolt are at $3000....(All other models from GM including Cadillac,, Buick & GMC range from $1000 to $5000)
Apparently GM is getting nervous about going into the 3rd and 4th quarter and model year change and clearance with so much inventory?

I would suggest if your timing allows it to wait for the best deals yet to come:)
The 20% GM promo offered last July may be renewed PLUS More incentives to get the job done with and overall slowdown of auto sales occurring and the influx of more and more competition coming out now and on the immediate horizon??
What do you think? IF Congress can legally do INSIDER TRADING...and the White House Leakers inside the White House Can leak the Presidents private conversations and CANT BE FOUND???....then there must be some inside information available by more than one HERE on this forum??:))

No fair, you get 3 private offers when the rest of us get none. I haven't even gotten a bonus reward from my GM card when they used to come yearly. I miss the annual top-offs, not that I used them much. I still have 2.4 years to go before I max out my Gm card rebate.

It's probably the same $3000 private offer that was sent to you three times. If you look at the authorization number and PIN you will see that they are the same on all three.

None here either. Might be something new in the garage if one of these offers shows up.

All I get are discounts on oil changes, LOL.

Wow, ok, yeah if you have purchased 4 then I can see why they sent unique codes for each. I have received two regular mail offers and one by email, but they all have the same authorization number and PIN.

Did you buy them or lease them? Someone in an earlier thread though that you had to lease a vehicle to get a private offer.

No, no, no. You buy a car because you need it and you really want it. You don't buy cars just because they are on sale. That's how they trick you into getting cars far sooner than you really need to.

Ok, so there's no way to know whether it was the lease that got you the private offer or whether purchases can also get private offers. I've never gotten a private offer though I've had GM vehicles for most of my adult life. It might be that original GM card owners don/t get private offers since they already get up to $3500 off.

Also in receipt of of two private offerings from GM, currently leasing my second Volt. Dealership says private offer (discount) is only available to customers purchasing a new car, not applicable to those wanting to lease.

I have the private offer AND $750 bonus GM Card earnings. I still think I'm going to wait and configure a Model 3 when they let me.

So, did you lease or purchase your previous GM vehicles?

I have a GM card (the only that has redemption limits for vehicles) AND I also leased 5 cars last year. I don't think leasing has anything to do with getting a private offer. Unless GM's algorithym decided there was no way I could possibly in the market for another car....which would be a good assumption based off they fact they know I leased/purchased 6 cars last year. :p

That's a crazy number of cars to go through. To contrast that, I have purchased 4 cars in my lifetime used between me and my wife. Two of them redeemed about $3600 each (there were some special months where you could get double points or something). The redemption limit GM card seems silly to continue to hold. If I had that card, I'd flip over to the new GM Buypower card which gives you a lower percentage, but in exchange for no redemption limits and no rebate caps. So for something like $3.4M cycled through your credit card, you could get yourself a free car.

I still play the game for the rebate, but if you think about it, the credit cards for points and rebates is just a way to keep you coming back. I should be strong and cut up the credit card to avoid the trap. I've thought about it when I was in line for a model 3. But since there is still a chance I could buy a CT6 or a Suburban, I continue to max out the card during my anniversary month then stop and max out my Barclaycard which gives me free Apple swag (received $150 in free gift cards last month, plus free Beats wireless headphones for buying a laptop during back to school season).

Our two Volts are purchased, but we picked up an Equinox a few months ago when they were giving them away on a lease. We use the Equinox for road trips and hauling stuff -- yes, the lease was that cheap with our GM Card, bonus earnings, GM Owner Loyalty program and extra $500 coupon the dealership sent us.

No, being on sale is not the consideration. I want one, and need it for my wife, who has difficulty getting in/out of the Volt due to knee problems. It's all about getting the price I'm willing to pay. And yes, I'm going to do the 100% down financing :)
