Going to pick up my RHD Holden Volt in New Zealand on Thursday. Really excited and looking forward to it, a little apprehensive in case I don’t like it as much as most people seem to. I will immediately be testing the range as I drive it the 600Kms home from Auckland to Wellington!

Spec 2014 (that’s all I got!)

VIn 5G8RZ6E49DU123616 - not tried a decoder yet.

Currently a Saab owner and will be sad to let my Turbo X (V6 AWD) go but time to move on!

Looking forward to getting all the hints and tips from you pros.

Congrats. If you expand my signature, you will see nearly every question on this forum answered in the tiny space allotted.

I wish I could get one of those Holden Commodore station wagons with the big Corvette engine and a stick shift. I know they are available in Australia, don’t know if they are in New Zealand. Only the Sedan was available in the US as a Pontiac G8 and later as a Chevy SS.

So got my Volt and drove it 650Kms from Auckland to Wellington on Hold mode and loved it - it’s really well built, no rattles, rides well and I even had space in the back to put a 2nd hand dishwasher I picked up on the way. Love it! It’s fully loaded with Tyre pressure sensors, lane departure warning, reversing camera, auto dimming rear view mirror etc. but strangely doesn’t have auto wipers.

I have a Tech 2 for my Saab - what scanning tool do I need to buy for my Volt?
