Agreed - there are too many variables to make a blanket statement if buying or leasing is better for someone.

Agree 100% - the "leasing is always most expensive" mantra is just not true these days. Any new car purchaser here in CA pays 9% sales tax and that added to the depreciation of a new car over three years can easily add up to more than the total amount paid on a lease in 36 months.

It all depends on the car, lease, discount, MF and other factors.
