This morning was a productive commute, assuming one wishes to spot various EVs/EREVs on the road.

Pulling out of my condo complex, I got behind a gray Volt (with an USC license plate frame). Further down the road I see a Model S a couple of lanes over (see image below). Then I passed, from the other direction, a Leaf. All this while dodging all the Prius's on the road; we are, after all, the Prius capital of the world.

I've been surprised at how many Volts and Teslas I've seen on the road recently. It used to be I'd see Leafs but not so many Volts. Now I think I see more Volts than Leafs. In total I probably see at least one on a trip of any length, and on longer trips I often see three or four Leafs, Volts, and Teslas.

Pretty amazing!

Exciting times. Isn't this how the "failed" Prius started out?
Yeah, really, LOL. There are absolutely schools of them in our neighborhood. There have been 2 on my block for quite awhile and a new family just moved in with 2 more. I'm no fan of Toyota but I guess it has to be good that so many cars are getting 50 mpg.

My day started out on a different note. I was coasting to the hairpin right turn at the bottom of the big hill below my house, trying to max out my regen in "L", when a BIG Benz SUV came up right on to my rear bumper and commenced flashing his brights at me, LOL. After I negotiated the corner he remained on my butt so I finally just pulled over, stopped, and let him go by. Not too surprisingly, I came up behind him at a red light several miles later. I noted down the plate #, which was a MI manufacturer's plate. When I got to work I looked up M-B's contact address and sent them a little email suggesting that they give their employees a bit of counseling on driving good manners and public perception of their "brand". I wonder if I'll get a response, hahaha.

I have NEVER seen a Tesla Model S, although a local guy does have a roadster. You must have a really progressive bunch down there in the southern realms.

I see far more Porche Cayenne around me, along with tons of BMW X5s and so on. Very few electrics in SE Pennsylvania. They are out there and I find more and more the last few months especially Leafs. We have no charging infrastructure, that's pretty much one of the main reasons.

The minute Porche, BMW or other German company puts out EREVs, the press will call them darling and say that they're out to save the world with the wonderful machines.

Lots of Panameras here, the car which I confidently predicted NOBODY would ever buy, LOL.

As to German EREVs I can only agree. How sad.

I was the original poster of this thread and just wanted to say that I ended today with spotting a couple of Volts on my commute home.

It is becoming quite a regular routine to see at least a couple of EVs/EREVs each way to and from work--from Volts, Leafs, Karmas, Model S, and BMW's; and even a Honda FCX Clarity or two every now and again.
