When I plug my iPhone 5 into the USB port to charge it, something hijacks the radio and it starts playing music off of my phone. Always the same song. Is the phone doing this or is it the car? If it's the car, how can I make it stop? I know there is no "charge only" mode on the phone, so it is always data connected, but why does it start playing music?
Thanks
Patrick

It is normal. It treats the connection as if you intended it for iPod music, and it automatically sends a "play" signal when you start the car, for your "convenience." The work around for this, as in many cars, is to plug the phone into a cigarette lighter using an adapter. That will be a "charge only" connection.

Just plug in the phone before you start the car. It will bypass switching to iPod mode.
