I sent you a PM.Can anyone share their experience with the cost of insuring the Volt vs. other cars? I got a quote for a 2017 Volt that was more than the insurance on a new $60K vehicle. I could by several months worth of gas for the difference.
This is an interesting site, but it doesn't appear to be particularly accurate, even with my current insurance.Start with www.thezebra.com...
I will definitely shop around after I talk to my agent again. But they have all my insurance, and having been with them for so many years, I hate to move everything.Mine wasn't more or less expensive than other vehicles owned. Get competitive quotes with other insurance companies.
Interestingly, this site: http://www.insure.com/car-insurance/insurance-rates-by-car.html brings up rates more in line with what I'm being charged.Start with www.thezebra.com...
What car did you come from, and what insurance company did you have before?Mine was more so I switched to Progressive, which was less.

How in the world did you find a volt for $3.65K. Must. Be a misplaced decimal.Went from a $30K Mini Cooper and mine went up a bit. Nothing crazy, but it was more. The Volt MSRP was $3.65K, so.....
Previous vehicle was an '09 Escape Hybrid to a MY12 loaded Volt. United Fire and Casualty was my previous insurance, but since we work with an agent, had several companies to choose from. What car did you come from, and what insurance company did you have before?
