Increased total range as min temperature rises!

Now we are consistently hitting the 37 deg F minimum temp, up from 33 deg F temp last month. Now my total range estimate is 539 miles. 61 miles for the battery and 478 miles for the gas. BTW, this was my first tankful of gas and haven't used any of it yet. The dealer has refilled my car twice, so technically, for the car it is on the beginning of third tankful of gas. My lifetime mpg cs is 44+, but my most recent one is about 75+, that is why the high estimated range for total. The range estimate for me is conservative. That 61 mile EV range, I can actually drive it to 68 miles as the temperature warms up in the afternoon. I always precondition the car 20 minutes while still plugged in before I use it. This is the most super efficient car ever!

Jeez, I'm jealous! I haven't seen 61 miles since before my battery replacement. I have a feeling it's not able to calibrate the new battery to its maximum capacity due to how cold it's been. And I've never seen over 400 on my gas tank...
Were having a bit of a warming here in Denver as well and my range too has been 61 EV each morning after charge. When I get to work I still have 60 left (12 miles mostly downhill to my job). When I get home from work I still have been at 45!

So I really probably only need to charge every other day.
Wow, 37F ambient in the morning and you still get 61 miles? I'm sitting here happy to see 48F and getting 50 miles (dry weather). I'm jelly. You must have a pretty flat commute. It's the only way. Unless your roads are pristine and you always have a tail wind or something.
Our coldest temps so far occurred early this season in first couple of weeks in December with -6 deg F one morning and -7 another. My range hit a low of 41. Now that the temp has been a bit above normal, the range increased. Getting cold again lately, and right on cue the range has slipped to 53. Amazing ... you tell the temp outside just by looking at your range.
Between the terrain and the freeway I manage 48-52 miles this time of year vs 60+ in the Summer.

And it's dry too! During the storms, I only get 45 miles :( sometimes even less.
40°F here and I've never seen higher than 45 miles for a fully changed battery in my new 2017.

My daily commute is all highway. Wonder if that's it...?

Your range will increase slightly as warmer temps come. Are you driving 70-80 mph? If I drove like that, I get down to 49 miles.
Arcanox Why did you have to get your battery replaced?

We're not too happy with our 2017 volt lt. since new in December we've never seen more then 41 and usually get between 35-40 on a charge, takes 12-14 hours to charge on 110 12amp. I looked at the last year usage on the 2014 we traded and the 2017 seems to be performing worse then our 14 did. We live in the DC area, this winter has been warmer then normal with temps ranging from 30-60 all winter so far. Also new car doesn't send its data to the onstar online website so I can't even get specific data points. Never have seen anything more then 45, that was a 60 degree day no hvac running and just running around town, no speed over 55.
