I used a Audio Dynamics IDQ 8" V.4 Subwoofer in the stock Bose enclosure with a Rockford Fosgate PBR300x1 Amp and a PAC AP4-GM61 to get a low level signal from the factory amp without the muffled bass at higher volumes.

Nice clean upgrade. The Amp Pro is awesome, I love mine. If you haven't found a place for the bass knob there is a perfect spot in the middle cubby under the radio.

...and more to the point have you done a double blind test before and after the fact with other people to determine if the sound is really any better or not ;-)

On Gen 2 Volts without the BOSE audio system, is there an empty enclosure where the 8inch BOSE sub would be? Can I add my own 8" sun on this space?
