I have been using this cord, Apple Mfi certified, for more than a year with no issues. iPhone charger cable, black, coiled 3ft.Only other issue to mention here is that you need to use a genuine apple cord to connect the phone to the car. Other cords tend to disconnect car play after a few minutes.
I've seen that error in a Chevrolet Malibu rental car when I tried to connect my iPhone to the rental car's OnStar WiFi and LTE service. I was able to use CarPlay very effectively in the rental car but I had to switch my iPhone so that Apple Maps was able to use Cellular Data (my iPhone's data plan.)OK so I think it is somewhat working but now as I try to put in an address to follow directions I am getting a SSL error. Hmmm. Anyone else with Iphone getting this issue? I will do some googling.
