When the car starts, quickly turn down the volume. The car will remember this setting the next time.

Thank a lot! I will try tomorrow.
May be you can also advise how to disable radio from starting automatically (say I had it off when left the car last time).

Instead of turning the radio off, turn the volume all the way down, (the same way you used to have to turn off old radios)

There is also a discrete menu option for controlling this system startup and shutdown volume. It's called Audio Cue Volume, and it can be found in the vehicle personalization menu -> Radio -> Audio Cue Volume. Or see the OM, p.143.

That is what I do. However I wanted the radio not to turn on automatically at all if I left it off when last time exited the car.
In fact it is not only the radio but also a USB stick with songs on it. It just starts playing on its own.

Partially helped. When I start the car then in a few seconds the center monitor starts and the speakers make "swooosh" sound.
